Entry walk of native limestone slabs in minimalist landscape
The entry walk consists of site-quarried limestone traversing beds of various types of gravel, native grasses and Xeric planting areas.
This native and low maintenance landscape requiring very little irrigation was developed for a retirement home on a hill-top in the Texas Hill Country. The property is fully dependent on water harvested from sporadic rainfall. In addition to the extensive boulder pathways and gravel beds, water conserving Xeric plantings such as Buffalo grass were utilized on a highly selective basis.
